To really experience old world charm and Gemütlichkeit at its finest, join us for a Pabst beer history tour at Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery. The roots of the Pabst Brewing Co. run deep in Milwaukee's proud brewing history. Relive this colorful history as you learn how the Best and Pabst families grew the brewery to become America's largest by 1874. After battling for decades to keep this title, Pabst began a slide and loss of market share in the late 1970's that led to the brewery's closing in 1996.
Be transported back in time as our tour moves through historic Blue Ribbon Hall, the former corporate offices, visitors center, coffee shop & infirmary. Best Place is open year-round for tours and they are kid-friendly. What'll You Have!!
Your tour would not be complete without a visit to our gift shop. Shop from a large selection of new and vintage Pabst family brands including; Pabst, Schlitz, Blatz, Old Style, Stroh's, Lone Star, Olympia & more. The gift shop carries a wide range of clothing items, vintage lights, coasters, mirrors, neons and glassware.

"In a city like Milwaukee where the history of brewing is evident on every street corner, you won't find a better place to celebrate that heritage than the Best Place. My wife arranged a tour for my 30th birthday and it did not disappoint. The tour provided information from the early days of the brewery to the story behind its present day ownership. The nooks and crannies of the building provide ample space to sit and chat with friends even at the bar's busiest."
...Jeremy L. - Milwaukee, WI.
"Best part of the Weekend! This place is truly a hidden treasure. The gift shop is overwhelming and the tour so worth the low $12 price. With that $12 you get a history lesson, a tour of part of the former offices and a free beer. The tour was run by the owner, who was so knowledgeable it blew my mind. We were so impressed by the place and the service we spent the day there talking to newcomers and the staff."
...Jenn - St. Charles, IL.
"If you ever had an interest in history, and want to hear a great story of preservation. Go to Best Place in Milwaukee. Not only can you have a few beers during the tour, you learn and get entertained.."
