Bardflies! We’re back! It's a new year and the ongoing Ick seems to be settling down (kinda) so we're going to try to launch this season with an old familiar: Romeo and Juliet!

 

"But I'm not familiar with the play" you say, well, here's the gist: Romeo and Juliet fall in love at a party. But they come from families who hate each other. They are sure they will not be allowed to marry. Nevertheless, helped by Friar Laurence, they marry in secret instead.

 

Unfortunately, before their wedding night, Romeo kills Juliet’s cousin in a duel, and in the morning he is forced to leave her. If he ever returns to the city, he will be put to death. Juliet’s parents told her she must marry Paris. Her parents do not know she is already married. She refuses in the beginning, but later agrees because she plans to fake her own death and escape to be with Romeo; again with the help of Friar Laurence. And THEN-Nope, nope, spoilers.

 

Also, Masks will be mandatory unless you are at your table. I am not interested in arguing about this, so don't bother. Yes we know the mask mandate is scheduled to be over by then but the Ick won't be. This is part of our effort to make it endemic.

 

Cost is $10 at the door or $5 if you're wearing red or blue. Or red and blue I guess but, really, pick a side. It's more fun that way.

Join us for our 3rd year of #MKEGOATYOGA! Platinum Sky Farms joins MKE Yoga Social with their brand new baby dwarf goats to offer yoga filled with gentle movements and cuddles with adorable little goats.

 

Each session includes 30 minutes of super chill, sure to be slightly spontaneous yoga followed by 30 minutes of mingling with the baby goats.... we'll even help you achieve those photo worthy poses!

 

We all know the benefits of yoga - stress reduction, lowered blood pressure, mental focus just to name a few, but why add the goats? Being around animals has been shown to decrease levels of cortisol (a stress-related hormone) and lower blood pressure. Other studies have found that animals can reduce loneliness, increase feelings of social support and boost your mood.... and baby goats are really damn cute!

 

Tickets: $49 Per Person, Two sessions: 5 + 6 pm

We are super excited to announce the very first Milwaukee Vegan Pop-Up!

 

Please join us on Sunday, March 20 at the gorgeous Historic Pabst Brewery in Milwaukee, WI for a day full of your favorite vegan products, food, and friends. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be something for everyone! Admission is always free and everyone is always welcome.

 

100% of exhibitor table fees will be donated to the Wisconsin farm sanctuaries and Primates Inc.

 

In the interest of public safety, everyone will be required to wear a face mask. Covid protocols are subject to change at any time based on city, county, state, or federal guidelines. We can’t wait! Hope to see you there!

When a message arrives informing him that his wife, Fulvia, is dead and that Pompey is raising an army to rebel against the triumvirate, Antony decides to return to Rome. In Antony’s absence, Octavius Caesar and Lepidus, his fellow triumvirs, worry about Pompey’s increasing strength. Caesar condemns Antony for neglecting his duties as a statesman and military officer in order to live a decadent life by Cleopatra’s side.

 

Then a lot more happens but that should be enough to get you started.
