Cream City Swing: Vintage Night for On Purpose Journey!

    Location:
    • Blue Ribbon Hall

    Calendar: Events

best place pabst milwaukee events cream city swing vintage night purpose 4167Tonight, all of the proceeds will go to support On Purpose Journey in honor of Lynn Simmers, one of our dancers and past board members who we unexpectedly lost this past April. On Purpose Journey (or, as you may remember them from past fundraiser nights several years ago, Mission: Soldier Adoption) is a non-profit organization that was founded by another of our dancer friends, Mollie Manhattan, and serves to honor and support all who serve. It was an organization that Lynn supported wholeheartedly. Find more info about their mission at http://www.onpurposejourney.com/.

It's Vintage Night, so get ready for some classic swing tunes! Get all gussied up with a 30s/40s/50s vintage flavor if you're feeling so inclined - if you knew Lynn, you knew how much she loved to rock an awesome hat. And, since we'll be riding on the heels of July 4th celebrations, maybe we'll even rope our WWII USO reenactor friends to break out their bevy of dance games and shenanigans for some extra fun (and when there are games, there are prizes)!
